Carole remembers many visits with Bill, talking about the Morgans. Carole relates an interesting story of how as a young child when driving with her father and grandparents, they’d stop on Sterns Road (Bill Fritz’s home) and pet the horses in the pasture. She realized later that she was most likely admiring the horses that were her foundation mare’s grandparents! Here she shares her memories of Bill... A second mare followed a year later – Linsley’s Lassie (Michelle Mar-Lo x Lord Linsley) so there were now two young mares owned by Carole. As a newlywed, Carole and her husband purchased a farm in Clyde and eventually ended up in Chili, where Carole moved to the farm where her father had originally been born. It was there that the Skyloft sign went up on the big red barn. Speaking of Skyloft – I’m always interested in finding out where prefixes come from, and this one doesn’t disappoint, and I never would have guessed it. |
